CEN

Nepal is facing major environmental problems due to high consumption of traditional and fossil fuels resulting in indoor pollution, diminished soil fertility, land degradation, loss of water sources and other environmental problems. Clean Energy Nepal (CEN) was established by a group of environmentalists, eco entrepreneurs, social architects and experts to fill the gap of an organization working on research and awareness raising to help address these and other urgent environmental issues.

CEN is a non-profit policy, research and implementation organization focusing on sustainable energy use and environmental conservation. With a vision of a Clean and Sustainable Environment for All, CEN works to carry out research-based education and advocacy on issues related to climate change, energy, air pollution and other environmental issues. The CEN family consists of a nine-member Executive Committee, about 30 general members, 8 staff members and hundreds of volunteers from various technical and non-technical fields.
